Every community in Texas deserves access to proper healthcare services. The Capital AHEC is committed to assisting communities within our region gain the services and professionals needed to accomplish this goal at no cost.
Our Practice Entry and Support program is designed to:
- Help health professionals maintain their credentials and locate employment opportunities
- Develop programming that is responsive to the continuing education needs of practicing health professionals in the area
- Increase retention of health care professionals in the area by enriching practice environments and improving professional achievement satisfaction levels
- Support National Health Service Corps participants
- Provide information resources to practicing health professionals
- Organize and coordinate large multidisciplinary conferences
- Assist communities in recruitment and retention efforts
- Implement support programs for nurses
